Availability Information

Availability depends on other events happening at The Medium, so submitting a request is the best way to check if your date is open.  Here's a quick look at what our spaces are often used for:

• Main Hall - community gatherings, event receptions, wall space for exhibitions
• Blackbox - performances, workshops, or community events
• Studio & Classrooms - small meetings, rehearsals, or classes
• Main Hall Extension - wall space for smaller exhibits, receptions, meetings
• Theater (Stage + Auditorium + Shop) - productions, concerts, large performances, or screenings

Our Commitment

No religious or political events: To keep The Medium a truly inclusive and open community space, we don't host events with a religious or political purpose.  

Cost is never a barrier: If you're interested in renting space, but the cost feels out of reach, please let us know.  We'll work with you to find a way forward.

Tripleseat Direct

If you're looking to reserve one of our smaller spaces, like Classrooms 1, 2, or 3, or the Movement Studio, you can check our calendar for availability and submit a request directly through Tripleseat Direct here: https://portal.tripleseat.com/direct_bookings/vn1q... These rooms are best for small gatherings, with limited setup and A/V capacity. Their maximum occupancy varies slightly, but generally ranges from 15 to 20 people.

For events that need more setup (like tables and chairs) or expanded A/V support, you'll want to look at our other spaces and continue filling out this main event request form.

FAQs

How much does it cost to rent a space?

Rates vary depending on the room, length of time, and setup needs.  You can find transparent pricing and a rental calculator on our website here.

If my reservation is approved, how much do I pay to lock in my date?

A 50% deposit and signed contract are required to officially reserve your space.  The remaining balance is due ten business days after your event.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes!  Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome.  If you'd like to serve alcohol, we'll walk you through the permitting and staffing requirements.  

What spaces are available?

The Medium offers a variety of spaces, everything from small classrooms and studios, to our Main Hall, Blackbox, and Theater.  You can see the layouts and capacities on our website here.

What's included in the rental?

Each space includes a basic setup and tech oversight.  Extra tables, chairs, linens, and A/V are also available.  For sound and lights, we provide the gear and instructions, but you'll need your own people to run them.
